Nashville in Concert at the SSE Arena was a sell-out, with the super fans of the show snapping up the tickets as soon as they went on sale. LAUREN DEEGAN of Northern Ireland Travel News was among a selection of lucky Travel Trade attendees invited to the sell-out show in Belfast recently…

I was super excited to be invited to attend the concert as I had missed out on getting my hands on some tickets when they went on sale… my aunt and I are both huge country music fans (and she is an even bigger fan of the show than me) so I was thrilled to be able to bring her!

I was very excited for the meet and greet with the cast before the show. We were treated to some beautiful food and drinks in Rockies bar before meeting them… and on second thought, we probably should have skipped on the Garlic Bread!

Our nerves kicked in on the way to the meet and greet… ‘what would we talk about? Does anyone know their real names?’ We only know them as Deacon, Gunner and Scarlett. However the cast were absolutely lovely! They made us feel very special and took the time to chat and have a picture taken with all of us.

Afterwards we made our way to our seats (which were the best in the house) even more excited for the show! Once it kicked off we were treated to a variety of songs from the TV show and some original tracks that have never been heard before – amazing!

Belfast was the last show of a long tour for the cast of Nashville which made it even more special. This unique event was a great success with all who were involved. A huge thanks to Karen Sheals Hoy from American Holidays and Nicky Butler from The Grand Ole Opry for such a fantastic evening – it was unforgettable!

The agents in attendance, Claire Mulligan, Dawn McCaffrey and Liam Bryers McArdle from Clubworld Travel and Debbie Hamilton Browne, Margaret Hull, Paul Thorne and Ciara Cullen from Thomson all had a great time and fully embraced the night.

For country music fans, a trip to Nashville, Tennessee is the ultimate pilgrimage. Nashville, usually called the ‘Country Music Capital of the World’ or more often, ‘Music City USA’, has been the home of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry since 1925.
