Ryanair has welcomed news that a German court has ordered a website, Cheaptickets, to stop displaying prices for checked baggage that are higher than those charged by the airline…
The regional court in Hamburg also banned the website’s operator, Travix, from referring to an “airline fee” that did not in fact exist, Ryanair said in a statement.
Holidaymakers are being warned of flight and ferry disruption after a major earthquake in the Aegean, which killed at least two people on the Greek island of Kos and caused extensive damage around the Turkish town of Bodrum.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) said transport in Greece had been ‘significantly disrupted’ as a result of the 6.7 magnitude earthquake, which struck seven miles north-east of Kos. There have since been several aftershocks.
